    Details:

    Between March 15 - 18, 2014 the 4 suspects (listed above) began an armed robbery spree that randomly targeted individuals in the Wimauma and Ruskin area of Hillsborough County. The suspects were armed with handguns and on several of the robberies would wear ski mask.

    On March 18, 2014, detectives developed a significant lead through a surveillance photo of a Chrysler 300 that was parked at the Prime Time Food Store just prior to the March 16th, 5:45 am robbery.  Detectives took this information and issued a county wide alert to search for the vehicle of this type.

    On March 19, 2014, at approximately 9:40 am, Patrol District 4 Investigations Unit, Detective Eric Johnson spotted a Chrysler 300 parked at the Circle K at 5133 S.R. 674 in Wimauma.

    Detective Johnson along with other deputies made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and with further investigation along with suspect interviews, detectives were able to identify all four suspects and connect each of them to the robberies.  The two adults were booked into the Orient Road Jail and the two juveniles were booked into the Juvenile Assessment Center.  Detectives feel based on the random nature of these crimes, there may be additional victims who may have been victimized by these suspects but did not make a report.

    Anyone who has been victimized by any of these suspects and who has not made a report is being asked to contact the Sheriff's office at 813-247-8200.  There is no indication at this time that these incidents are gang related.

    The following information is a case by case summary of each incident known at the time of this release;

    1. On March 15, 2014, at about 10 a.m., a 13-year-old male victim was taking out the trash at 5242 Guadalupe Blvd (migrant camp) when two male suspects approached him on foot and asked him if he had any money. When the boy said no, he was knocked to the ground and kicked in the head. The suspects searched his pockets and fled after they didn't find anything. The victim received minor injuries.

    2. On March 16, 2014, at approximately 5:45 a.m., a 28-year-old male victim had just left the Prime Time Food Store and was walking home when two male suspects jumped out of the bushes and pointed handguns at him. The victim turned and ran back to the store before the suspects could take anything. The victim described a possible suspect vehicle as a silver Chrysler 300. The victim was not injured.

    3. On March 16, 2014 at approximately 9 a.m., a 50-year-old female victim was walking on 5th Street SW and College Avenue when a silver Chrysler pulled up next to her. A male and female suspect got out of the vehicle and took the victim's purse at gun point. The suspects got back in the car and drove away. The victim was not injured.

    4. On March 16, 2014 at approximately 10 a.m., a 55-year-old male victim was riding his bicycle along Lightfoot Road and Sundance Trail when a silver Chrysler pulled up next to him and 3 males jumped out carrying handguns and wearing ski-mask. The suspects knocked the victim off his bike and one suspect held a gun to the victim's head while the other two suspects stole cash out of his pockets. The suspects got back in the car and drove away. The victim was not injured.

    5. On March 18, 2014 at approximately 7:40 a.m., a 56-year-old male victim was walking home from Tienda Los Primos store, 5530 North Street, when a "silver" vehicle pulled up next him. A male suspect got out of the vehicle wearing a ski mask and carrying a handgun. The suspect ordered the victim to the ground and stole his wallet. The suspect got back into the vehicle and drove away. The victim was not injured.

    The investigation continues.
