Detectives are requesting the public's assistance to help identify a suspect involved in an armed bank robbery.
On April 10, shortly after 9 am, a lone suspect entered the Suncoast Credit Union at 13141 S. Hwy 301 in Riverview and approached the bank tellers. The suspect who was wearing a mask and blue latex gloves, pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.
The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and then exited the bank. The suspect was last seen running through the parking lot south of the bank.
Anyone with any information reference the suspect is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 247-8200 or anyone with any information regarding the identity and whereabouts of this suspect and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or text "CSTB plus your tip" to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
