Grow House located at 2604 - 66 Street South:
On January 8, 2015, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Special Investigation Division began investigating a Crime Stoppers complaint stating that marijuana was possibly being grown at 2604 – 66 Street South, Tampa. On January 15, 2015, detectives developed probable cause for a court authorized search warrant and with the assistance of District Two Patrol the warrant was executed. Once inside the residence, detectives located several rooms converted for the sole purpose of cultivating marijuana. Detectives recovered forty-four marijuana plants which were growing inside soil-filled pots along with equipment used in cultivation process. Detectives also located 218 grams of processed marijuana which was packaged for sale along with 1 gram of powder cocaine. Detectives also seized $3,715.00 in U.S. Currency. TECO responded and located an illegal electricity connection providing unmetered electric to the residence with an estimated theft of $7,800.00. Detectives arrested Mauri-Rodriguez and charged him with the above charges.
The marijuana had a total weight of 93 pounds with an estimated street value of $186,000.00.
