At approximately 1:03 am, deputies responded to a shooting in progress call at The Crazy Horse Bar located at 8829 West Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa. A group of individuals (including Reyes and his brother) got into an altercation inside the bar. While in the bar, Reyes' brother was pepper sprayed. The altercation spilled over into the parking lot. While the altercation was continuing, Yordan went to his vehicle which was parked right near the front entrance of the bar and retrieved a hand gun. As the altercation was still ongoing, Yordan saw a red dot laser pointed at the manager and then pointed at him. Yordan then fired multiple shots striking Reyes.
While still in the parking lot Reyes was put into a private vehicle to be transported to a local hospital.
EMS responded to the location and transported Reyes to the hospital where he later expired.
Investigating detectives recovered a cigarette lighter at the scene that was in the shape of a small hand gun. The cigarette lighter could also be utilized as a red dot laser pointer.
Hillsborough County detectives will be consulting with the State Attorneys Office. At this time, there are no charges and the investigation continues.
