On February 27, 2015 at 10:13 p.m. in the area of Dolphin Drive Bonito Street, Dstrict I deputy conducted a traffic stop on a juvenile subject who was operating a bike at night, without a light. A pat down revealed the subject had a gun in his pants pocket. The subject fled on foot and a short foot pursuit began. The subject was cornered after he fell trying to jump a fence into a backyard. The deputy deployed his TASER and the subject was arrested without further incident. The subject was in possession of a Sig Sauer P239 (9mm) which was reported stolen. Additionally, the subject was in possession of marijuana and the bike was also reported stolen. The subject was charged with Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Minor in Possession of a Firearm, Obstructing or Opposing an Officer With Violence, Grand Theft Firearm, Possession of Marijuana and Petit Theft.
