The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner has confirmed the identity of the female who died in this weekend mobile home fire at 1319 Candy Cane Lane as Linda Ann Vallee, DOB:06/01/66.The official cause of death is still undetermined.
The male victim is identified as Edwin Jose Chico, DOB 05/06/1958.As of this afternoon, Mr. Chico is still in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.
The next of kin for both families have been notified. The cause of the fire is still being investigated by the Florida State Fire Marshal's Office and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. I have no further details at this time as the investigation continues.

On March 15, 2015, just before 2 am, a house fire was reported at 1319 Candy Cane Lane near Plant City. Deputies responded to assist HCFR.
The house was fully engulfed and a adult male with severe burns was located and transported via medivac to TGH. At approximately 5 am, a deceased individual was discovered inside the burned residence. Investigators with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and the Florida State Fire Marshal's Office were on scene of the fatal fire searching for any forensic evidence that may help determine how the fire started. There has been no positive conclusions as of yet on the cause of the fire.
The deceased adult female found inside the residence has been tentatively identified, however, her name will not be released until her identity can be confirmed by the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office and next of kin is notified. Also, the Medical Examiner's Office will be conducting an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
The adult male that managed to escape the burning residence remains in critical condition at Tampa General Hospital. His identity will not be released until later into the investigation and verification of next of kin has been made.
