    Details:

On Novemeber 12, 2015 at approximately 6:12 a.m., Robert Best arrived at his parent's residence located at 10719 Dixon Drive, Riverview. Robert Best and his wife Marisol Best arrived at the residence to meet with the victims for a prayer time before Robert Best's court appearance in Polk County on this same date. Upon their arrival, Robert Best went to the rear of the residence which
is the common point of entry for friends and family members. When he approached the rear door, he noted the door was slightly ajar. Upon entering the residence, Robert Best located his parents, Virgil Best and Shirley Ann Best deceased within the residence. Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies and detectives responded to the scene. Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office responded and conducted a preliminary examination of the victims and determined the injuries appeared to be gunshot injuries and were not consistent with self-inflicted injuries. No signs of forced entry were observed.

During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Marisol Best had been at the victims' residence on November 11, 2015. Post Miranda, Marisol Best related that she became angry with the victims because they were negative about Robert Best's upcoming court date. Best stated that she retrieved a handgun from the vehicle she had driven and entered the residence. She shot both victims before leaving the scene. She was arrested and charged with 2 counts of 1st Degree Premeditated Murder and VOP.
