    Two Arrests For Manufacturing Methamphetamine

    Details:

    On October 10, 2015, the defendant, Tommy Simpson was in possession of methamphetamine, was in possession of the listed residence for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine, was in possession of marijuana (less than 20 grams), was in possession of drug paraphernalia and did resist an officer without violence. Deputies responded to the listed address in reference to a drug complaint. The drug complainant indicated that methamphetamine was being produced inside a condemned residence. The listed residence was confirmed as being condemned via Hillsborough County Code Enforcement. Deputies approached the residence and detected the strong odor of chemicals. Deputies also observed the co-defendant (Leland Murray) flee into a back bedroom upon sight of law enforcement. Entry was made into the residence after numerous loud verbal commands were given to the co-defendant to exit the house. The defendant was located hiding a back bedroom. The methamphetamine, paraphernalia (numerous syringes), and marijuana were located in the residence.
