    Details:

    On October 12, 2015 at approximately 2:17 am, victim Rudy Hernandez Jr. was walking with his friend/witness in he area of Waters Avenue west just west of Pinehurst Drive when a black male, later identified as Kafeel Robinson produced a firearm and shot the victim in the upper torso. Robinson entered the passenger side of a a vehicle (Silver Chrysler 200) and fled westbound on Waters Avenue West.

    Hernandez made his way across the roadway before collapsing in the parking lot of 8140 Waters Avenue West in front of the Babylon II Hookah lounge. As he lay in the parking lot, the same vehicle returned on Waters avenue west and slowed in front of the business where a handgun was extended from the front passenger window and numerous shots were fired into the parking lot before the vehicle fled.  Hernandez was transported to the hospital listed in critical condition.

    Victim's Satka and Figueroa were sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot when the shots were fired which resulted in one of the rounds striking the hood of a their vehicle and embedded into the glass of the windshield. Neither Satka or Figueroa were injured.

    The suspect vehicle driven by Gary Joseph was observed fleeing the scene. The suspect vehicle appeared to be stopping for deputies at the Wal Mart located at 7011 Waters Avenue West and then fled from deputies. A brief pursuit ensued before the Chrysler collided with one of the marked units, disabling the deputy's vehicle. The deputy was not injured.

    The suspect vehicle fled and pursued by deputies. In the area of Woodbridge and Shenandoah Court, the pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle struck a marked unit. The deputy was not injured.

    Joseph was taken into custody. Robinson fled on foot and was apprehended in the backyard in the area of Shenandoah Court after a deputy deployed his taser when Robinson refused to show the deputy his hands.
