On October 15, 3015, after a night of partying the suspect arrived home and discovered her seven year old Pit Bull names Rose, had chewed up her bedroom carpet. The suspect grabbed the dog and beat the dog in the head with a closed fists and attempted to strangle the dog with her hands. The suspect wrapped her legs around the dog's body and proceeded to burn the dog's right hind quarter area with a lit cigarette leaving a burn mark. A witness to the incident called the Sheriff's Office to respond. The suspect fled the area. Animal Control arrived on scene and seized the dog for further evaluation of the dog's injuries. A warrant was issued for Linda Howell and she turned herself in at the Orient Road jail on the above charge.
