Deputies rescue victim during domestic violence Aggravated Battery and False Imprisonment.

Hillsborough County, FL (Tampa) - On September 17, 2015 at approximately 4 am, deputies responded to reports of a woman screaming at 1227 Sand Lake Circle in Tampa. When deputies arrived, they could hear a woman screaming for help from inside an apartment.
Deputies entered the apartment through an unlocked front door and found Horatio Patterson punching Victoria Orona's face while on top of her on a bedroom floor. Deputies pulled Patterson off Orona and took him into custody charging him with Aggravated Battery and False Imprisonment.
Ms. Orona's face was covered in blood, she had a laceration on her lip, and several bruises and swelling on her head. Orona later stated Patterson also choked her several times while threatening to kill her. Victoria Orona and Horatio Patterson are boyfriend/girlfriend and were living together.
Ms. Orona was transported to a local hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Paterson was booked into the Hillsborough County Orient Road Jail where he is being held with no bond.
