    Detectives Searching For Second Homicide Suspect

    Details:

    On July 28, 2016 at 11:08 p.m., Ivonne Rivera-Ramis met with Antonio Santiago-Concepcion to sell prescription pills. Rivera-Ramis and a passenger were in a Hyundai Accent four-door sedan. During the transaction with Santiago-Concepcion, two unknown males armed with firearms approached them. As Rivera-Ramis attempted to flee with the passenger in the vehicle, she was shot once in the upper back and died while en route to the parking lot of a McDonald's located at 1002 78th St. in Tampa. The passenger was able to take
    control and park the vehicle. Deputies responded to the scene and discovered Rivera-Ramis already deceased.

    Throughout the course of the investigation, Santiago-Concepcion was interviewed and admitted to meeting with Rivera-Ramis to buy prescription pills. He described two unknown individuals that approached him and Rivera-Ramis, but said he did not know who they were nor could he provide a description. Santiago-Concepcion signed a consent to search document reference his cell phone. Deputies reviewed text messages sent and received by Santiago-Concepcion. Several text messages were noted, just before the shooting took place, between Santiago-Concepcion and Jose Colon-Soto. The content of the messages show that Rivera-Ramis was lured to the arranged location and that both men were present during the shooting and both fled the scene.

    Jose Colon Soto was arrested on December 1, 2016 and charged with Premeditated First Degree Murder with a Firearm. A warrant has been issued for Antonio Santiago Concepcion.
