Deputies assisted probation officers from FDOC in conducting 103 compliance checks.
On December 9, 2016, starting at 6:00 pm, deputies and detectives assisted Probation Officers from FDOC in conducting Probation Compliance checks in the Gibsonton Area. A total of 103 compliance checks were conducted. This resulted in eight probable cause arrests for violation of probation, five violation of probation warrants, 55 probationers were found to be in compliance, 27 were not home, however, still in compliance. Eight moved from the area or had incorrect addresses and FDOC will follow up on their status.
The individuals arrested for Violation of Probation are listed below. One of the arrests (Joe Whitworth) was found in possession of twelve firearms to include revolver handguns, semi-automatic handguns, a shotgun, one AK47 style rifle, and one AK47 style pistol. He was also in possession of 38.4 grams of marijuana.
