    Details:

On February 14, 2016 at approximately 12:41 a.m., District III Patrol Units responded to a Robbery-Person (Just-Occurred) located at Fox Croft 3817 Hunt Rd. Upon arrival, deputies learned that the victim, Vanessa Martinez, was robbed at gunpoint by one white male suspect and one black male suspect upon exiting her vehicle and walking towards her residence. During the course of this robbery, the suspects "pistol whipped" the victim's face numerous times which caused numerous facial/orbital fractures. Additionally, during the
course of "pistol whipping" the victim, the suspects encountered a negligent discharge of the firearm, which struck a nearby-parked vehicle. The victim was deprived of her purse, cellular phone, and car keys. The victim in this case was transported to St Joseph's Hospital and has since been released as of this morning.

During the course of the investigation, deputies heard multiple shots being fired just east of the incident location, within the same apartment complex. At approximately 2:18 .m., it was revealed that an additional Robbery-Person had just occurred at 3838 Hunt Rd #101. During the course of this robbery, the victim, Jomar Vazquez, was exiting his vehicle and walking towards his friend's apartment unit. Vazquez was approached by one white male suspect and one black male suspect who ordered the victim to the ground at gunpoint. Vazquez was kicked and punched prior to being deprived of multiple personal belongings. Vazquez's friend, Jordan Martin Rivera, was within the apartment during the time of this robbery. The suspects began yelling through the door for Rivera to open the door or they were going to "kill" Vazquez. Rivera chose not to open the door, which led the suspects to fire multiple rounds through
the closed door, grazing Rivera's right thigh area. After not gaining access to this apartment, the suspect's fled undetected.

Once again, while in the process of investigating both of the aforementioned cases, deputies heard gunfire south of the incident locations. Deputies quickly learned that a third Robbery-Person was in-progress at 3850 North Lake Dr. Deputies quickly set up a perimeter and spotted one white male suspect and one black male suspect fleeing the location on bicycles. Within moments, units
began to pursue the suspects on foot and were successful in capturing both suspects. The suspects were identified as Nicholas Gillham and Jaiohn Mills. During the course of this third robbery, Mills and Gillham approached the victim as he was exiting his vehicle. Gillham and Mills struck the victim multiple times in the face and then fired multiple rounds in the direction of the victim, Michael Burgess. Burgess was deprived of multiple personal belongings, which were located in the possession of Mills.

Aviation, K-9 and Crime Scene assisted with this investigation. An article search was conducted, but deputies were unable to locate the firearm used in this case.

A post Miranda interview conducted with Mills led to a confession to each robbery.

Gillham was charged with Armed Robbery (Firearm) x3, Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon x3, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon x1, Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, VOP-Carrying Concealed Firearm x2, and VOP-Aggravated Assault w/ Weapon.

Mills was charged with Armed Robbery (Firearm) x3, Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon x3, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon x1, Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, and VOP-Petit Theft.
