    Details:

On February 22, 2016 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Tyee Spike entered Dimple's Playland Childcare, located at 7445 12th Av S in Tampa, via an unsecured window and removed several sets of vehicle keys. Tyee Spike then removed a white Ford E350 passenger van from the property and later fled from Tampa Police Department when they attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Tyee Spike attempted to utilize the stolen van to commit another business burglary at Cell Tech, located at 7802 Rideout Road in Tampa, but he was interrupted by the owners and he fled from the business on foot. He returned to Dimple's Playland Childcare and removed a second Ford E350. Deputies observed the van and attempted a traffic stop, but Tyee Spike refused to stop and fled from deputies. Later, the stolen vehicle was observed by Florida Highway Patrol units who attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but again Spike refused to stop and fled from law enforcement. A short distance later, Tyee Spike lost control of the vehicle and crashed the van at 78th Street S and Madison Ave. Spike fled from the crash scene on foot and entered a carport of a neighboring residence where he stole a bicycle in an attempt to elude law enforcement. HCSO deputies responded to that area and were able to locate Spike hiding in a wooded area. Detectives responded and interviewed Tyee Spike, post Miranda, and he admitted to committing these offenses.
