The driver involved in a traffic crash that injured a HCSO deputy is arrested.

On January 26, 2016, Kenneth R. Cooper, III, was arrested in Hillsborough County pursuant to charges for DUI Serious Bodily Injury and DUI with Injury and Property Damage, in a crash where he struck Motorcycle Deputy Timothy Berg. The crash occurred on December 22, 2015. The driver, Cooper also struck six other vehicles after dragging Deputy Berg approximately 150 feet before coming to a stop. Cooper's blood was drawn at the scene, with results indicating that he was under the influence of a chemical substance that affected him to the extent that his normal faculties were impaired.
