HCSO deputies and Tampa Police Department identified Davis in numerous vehicle burglaries.

On January 28, 2016, the suspect Torries Kermet Davis was arrested by Tampa Police Department. Davis is suspected in numerous vehicle burglaries both within the city of Tampa and Hillsborough County.
On January 1, 2016, thirty nine vehicle burglaries occurred in which property was taken from all vehicles within the Lake Lucerne Apartment Complex in Brandon. In those vehicle burglaries, the windows were broken in order to gain entry. On January 5, 2016, ten additional vehicle burglaries occurred in the College Chase Subdivision in Ruskin and those vehicles were left unlocked. Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detectives working with Tampa Police Department detectives were able to identify the suspect, Davis and was taken into custody by Tampa Police Department charging him with several burglaries within the City as well as the 49 within Hillsborough County.
