Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino received another S.A.V.E award from HCSO.
In June of 2006, Sheriff David Gee launched the S.A.V.E. (Sheriff's Alcohol Vendor Enforcement) Program, to partner with alcohol vendors and retailer and create a proactive collaboration to inform and educate employees and managers. The goal is to reduce alcohol related traffic rashes and death in Hillsborough County. Many alcohol vendors in Hillsborough County have embraced S.A.V.E. and invited the Sheriff's Office to conduct training sessions for employees, and undercover operations to reveal underage drinkers and counterfeit and fake forms of identification.
The 2015 S.A.V.E. Award was presented to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for their continued efforts in being a responsible vendor on consumption of alcohol. As in previous years, they continued to embrace the program and during 2015, they trained more than 455 of their staff and personnel about the dangers of over servicing their patrons. With an average of 25,000 patrons entering the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino daily, there was a 10% reduction in DUI arrests in 2015, with zero DUI arrests made in April of 2015.
It should also be noted that Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino was the 2011 recipient of the S.A.V.E. Award.
