    Details:

On 05/13/16 at 3:20 pm, a traffic fatality occurred involving a 2006 Harley Davidson Motorcycle and a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria on Bloomingdale Avenue just east of John Moore Road.

The motorcyclist, Timothy W. Edwards, was eastbound in the right lane of Bloomingdale Avenue. The Ford, driven by Ada M. Thomason, was westbound on Bloomingdale Avenue in the middle turn lane waiting to turn left into Bloomingdale Plaza. Traffic for eastbound Bloomingdale Avenue in the left lane was at a stand still and there was a gap in the traffic. Ms. Thomason made her left turn. Traffic in the right lane was not stopped and she did not see the motorcycle. She turned into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the front of the Ford and Mr. Edwards was ejected eastbound onto the south shoulder coming to rest on the sidewalk. Mr. Edwards died at the scene. He was not wearing his helmet. Ms. Thomasan had her 7-month-old daughter properly restrained in the right rear of the Ford, neither suffered any injuries.

Next of kin has been notified. Alcohol is not suspected to be involved.
