On October 3, 2016 at 2:16 a.m., deputies arrested Rodshee Rayford. A Crime Stoppers tip lead deputies to 17203 Orangewood Ave. in Lutz, where Rayford was located. He is charged with Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Officer with Violence, Resisting Officer Without Violence and Violation of Parole.
Previous Release (16-424):
On September 21, 2016 at approximately 11:22 a.m., Deputy Steve Gutierrez conducted a seatbelt violation stop at 142nd Av. E/ 12th St. N. The suspect vehicle (black Toyota), driven by an unknown white female and a black male passenger, pulled into the Stop and Shop located at 1201 142nd St. Prior to Deputy Gutierrez being able to voice the vehicle tag information, the black male passenger began to open the passenger door. Deputy Gutierrez approached the passenger, explained to both the purpose of the stop and then asked them for their driver's license. The black male, later identified as Rodshee Rayford, exited the vehicle, shoved the deputy and a struggle ensued. Deputy Gutierrez utilized his ECD "taser" which proved to be ineffective. A foot pursuit ensued and the subject is now at large.
Rayford has an outstanding warrant for Parole Violation and now has additional charges for Battery on LEO. He is considered dangerous and is a habitual offender. Previous charges include Robbery with a Firearm, Carjacking with a Firearm, Kidnapping and Assault or Terrorize.
