In late March 2017, District IV detectives received information regarding Victor Coronado receiving stolen appliances in exchange for money and narcotics. Detectives initiated an investigation and were able to develop probable cause for a search warrant of Victor Corondo's Wimauma residence. The search warrant resulted in the recovery of 7.3 grams of crack cocaine, along with a scale and other drug paraphernalia. Detectives also observed five GE appliances (3 stoves, 2 refrigerators) that were within the residence and a shed on the property. Detectives were able to determine that the appliances were stolen in 2016 from several different new home construction sites within the Riverview and Wimuama areas. The total value of the recovered stolen property was $2,672.00.
Victor Coronado was arrested and admitted Post Miranda to receiving the appliances in exchange for $20 and selling the cocaine. Samuel Solis was already in jail on similar charges and admitted to committing several new construction burglaries and trading the property to Coronado.
Coronado is also suspected of committing burglaries within Manatee County.
