The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Quarterly Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Falkenburg Road Jail Assembly Room, 520 North Falkenburg Road in Tampa.
We will honor retirees and longevity employees. Life Saving awards and Citizen awards will be presented. A few of the awards that will be presented:
- While working at the 7-Eleven in Dover, Ardnassac Allen and Virginia Phillips recognized an elderly man from a “Silver Alert”. These ladies remained calm and professional, keeping the man safe and comfortable until deputies arrived. Their actions, enabled a peaceful and safe resolution to this missing elderly person case and brought comfort to him and his family. They will receive a Citizen Award for their efforts.
- Master Corporal David Waytovich and Deputy Thomas Adair will receive Life Saving Awards for performing CPR on a unconscious female with no pulse or other vital signs of life. Master Corporal Waytovich and Deputy Adair performed CPR until HCFR arrived. The victim's husband is confident that his wife would not had survived if it were not for the quick, capable, effective and decisive actions of Master Corporal Waytovich and Deputy Adair.
