Sheriff Chronister, "Investing in children and families is essential to our plan for providing a safe and secure environment for everyone in Hillsborough County."
When it comes to the safety and well being of the children and families of Wimauma, doing good isn't good enough for Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. That's why he, in conjunction with The Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay and other community partners, is proud to invite the media and community to a special announcement regarding the We Are Wimauma project tomorrow at 2 p.m. at 5809 Edina Street. The announcement will highlight efforts to further establish a beacon center for Wimauma, efforts to invest in the current infrastructure for the Wimauma Boys and Girls Club and the establishment of a health clinic for those in need."Investing in these children and families is essential to our plan for providing a safe and secure environment for everyone one in Hillsborough County," said Sheriff Chronister. "This isn't about economic status, where you are from or what your background is. For me, in Wimauma and South County, its about establishing opportunities to thrive and succeed no matter the odds and I could not be more proud to have HCSO play a part in that."HCSO has a established history of investing in the children and families of Wimauma through their efforts at the Boys and Girls Club and tomorrow's announcement is just another example of that commitment according to Sheriff Chronister. The Sheriff's Office has chosen to partner with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay to get to children when they are young and help establish positive patterns and opportunities in their lives as early as possible.
