Hillsborough County Sheriff's detectives discovered two handguns inside the vehicle where Jyhaad D. Grant and Julissa D. Jackson were located. Preliminary evidence suggests both weapons were fired at the scene. A 9 mm pistol and a .380 caliber handgun were discovered after detectives executed a search warrant on the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded for evidence processing and the investigation continues.
No charges are pending at this time. This continues to be an active investigation. Anyone with any information in reference to this incident is

Both individuals worked for AJ Cardinal Group, LLC doing business as Eagle One Security Force (Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services License #B 1100282) located at 8810 N Orangeview Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33617.
No charges are pending at this time. This continues to be an active investigation.

Based upon the preliminary information at the time of this release, the following circumstances are believed to have led to this incident which remains under investigation.
Two individuals were shot and killed by licensed security guards who were in fear for their lives at approximately 11:30 p.m. on January 1 at a facility known as "The Club" at 5809 North 50th Street. The location was hosting a teen night and was scheduled to be open for the event from 8 p.m. to midnight. A series of fights inside the event prompted organizers to close their doors early around 10:45 p.m. Between 150 to 200 people were in the process of leaving the event when the armed security guards first heard fireworks and then guns shots. While looking into where the gun shots were coming from, they saw an individual firing a weapon from a car and they both returned fire. The two deceased individuals inside the vehicle have been identified as Julissa Jackson, 15 and Jyhaad Grant, 25, The facility is rented out for events.
