On Friday, January 12, 2018, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Northdale OWLS and the Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation Department will host the 8th Annual Public Safety Fair. The event will be held at the Northdale Recreation Center located at 15550 Spring Pine Drive in Tampa and will run from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.
The event is open to the public and will feature a variety of Crime Prevention and Personal Safety topics. The intent is to help inform the general public about how to protect themselves from becoming a victim to the various types of crimes and dangers that can often be prevented. There will be a number of public speaking presentations on various topics, such as Personal Safety, Identity Theft, Insurance Fraud, and more. In addition, there will be displays, informational booths, business sponsors and vendor tables present.
The event is open to the public and attendance is free. There will be food & drinks provided, raffle prizes, and more! Operation Medicine Cabinet will be at this event to impound any unwanted or expired medications for destruction and Operation Shredding will gladly destroy any unwanted sensitive or personal documents, both accepted at the HCSO display table.
