UPDATE:
HCSO homicide detectives have made an arrest related to the double homicide that occurred on January 24, 2018, at 2611 14th Avenue SE in Ruskin. Detectives have also located a surveillance photograph of an unidentified male subject that they are seeking to identify and interview to determine any knowledge he may have regarding this homicide.

Samona Ramey was arrested without incident and booked into the Orient Road Jail without bond.

News Release 18-089:
On January 24, 2018, at approximately 11 am, deputies responded to 2611 14th Ave SE in Ruskin after a report was received that there were two deceased individuals inside the residence. When deputies arrived, they entered the residence and verified that two subjects were deceased.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office homicide detectives, crimes scene investigators, the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office and the Hillsborough County Medical's Examiner's Office are now involved in this investigation and have classified it as a double homicide.
The Medical Examiner's office has determined both victims died of gun shot wounds and have made positive identification. Detectives have established a possible motive and do not believe this was a random act. Next of kin have been notified. We are are not releasing any other details at this time. As soon as more information becomes available, I will send out an update.
