UPDATE: Hit-and-Run Crash
Jorge Dorta Perez, DOB: 06/23/65
, was identified as the driver in the hit-and-run crash. Dorta Perez met with detectives today
and admitted to crashing into the victim's vehicle. He was given a criminal citation for Leaving the Scene of a Traffic Crash without Giving Information with Property Damage.
Suspect: White male, approx. 40 years old
Vehicle: White van
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver of a white van who struck an unoccupied, parked Volkswagen Jetta. The crash occurred on 11/11/18 at 11:11am near the 1500 block of Banner Elk Street in Valrico. The driver did not report the crash and took off after the incident.
The driver was wearing red shorts, a black t-shirt, black shoes and a red vest.
The HCSO is asking that everyone take a good look at these photos and anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.
