    Ruskin Murder Suspect Arrested In Kentucky

    On January 24, 2018, deputies responded to 2611 14th Ave SE in Ruskin after a report was received that there were two deceased individuals inside the residence.

    Details:

    On Wednesday, September 12, a wanted murder suspect, McKinsie Alexander Lyons, 39, was located and arrested in Carroll County, Kentucky. On January 24, 2018, at approximately 11 a.m., Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies responded to 2611 14th Ave SE in Ruskin after a report of two deceased individuals inside the residence, one of which was pregnant. When deputies arrived, they entered the residence and found Juanita Donna Solorzano, 33, who was pregnant, and Alexis Martinez, 24, both shot to death. A warrant was issued for Lyons for First Degree Murder (2 charges), Murder of an Unborn Child, Burglary of a Dwelling with Assault or Battery and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Lyons was taken into custody by the Kentucky State Police without incent on Wednesday. He will be extradited back from Kentucky to Hillsborough County.

    The Unites States Marshal's Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force is offering up to $3,000 reward for any information that leads to the apprehension of Mckinsie Lyons. Lyons is wanted for 1st Degree Murder (x 2), Murder of an Unborn Child, Burglary of a Dwelling with Assault or Battery and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. On January 24, 2018, at approximately 11:00 a.m., deputies responded to 2611 14th Avenue SE in Ruskin after a report was received that there were two deceased individuals inside the residence.  When deputies arrived, they entered the residence and verified that two subjects were deceased. The Medical Examiner's Office determined both victims died of gunshot wounds.  Detectives have established a possibly motive and do not believe this was a random act.     HCSO homicide detectives have made an arrest related to the double homicide that occurred on January 24, 2018, at 2611 14th Avenue SE in Ruskin. Detectives have also located a surveillance photograph of an unidentified male subject that they are seeking to identify and interview to determine any knowledge he may have regarding this homicide. Samona Louise Ramey, DOB: 11/17/1985, was arrested without incident and booked into the Orient Road Jail without bond. Charges: First Degree Felony Murder with Firearm-Discharge (2 counts), Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Possession of Controlled Substance (2 counts), Possession of Drug Without Prescription, and Introduction of Contraband Into A Detention Facility. The investigation continues to find an unidentified male, approximately 6'0 - 6'3, 200-230lbs, with black hair.     On January 24, 2018, at approximately 11 am, deputies responded to 2611 14th Ave SE in Ruskin after a report was received that there were two deceased individuals inside the residence. When deputies arrived, they entered the residence and verified that two subjects were deceased. Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office homicide detectives, crimes scene investigators, the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office and the Hillsborough County Medical's Examiner's Office are now involved in this investigation and have classified it as a double homicide. The Medical Examiner's office has determined both victims died of gunshot wounds and have made positive identification. Detectives have established a possible motive and do not believe this was a random act. Next of kin have been notified. We are not releasing any other details at this time. As soon as more information becomes available, I will send out an update.
