Deputies confiscated over 500 pounds of marijuana with a street value in excess of $1,000,000.00.

On January 16, HCSO detectives executed a court authorized search warrant at 1513 Kyle Court in Valrico. Detectives discovered two rooms which were converted for the sole purpose of cultivating marijuana. Detectives recovered 41 mature marijuana plants which had a total weight of 522 pounds. TECO responded and located an illegal electric connection providing unmetered electricity to the house with a total theft of $7,713.57.
Victor Perez Madrigal was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell, Trafficking in Marijuana (25 to 2000 pounds), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance, Grand Theft Third Degree, and Maintain a Place for Drug Use. Perez Madrigal was booked into the Orient Road Jail.
The marijuana had a street value of $1,044,000.00.
