    Details:

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is searching for Armando Charlotten, 32, who is wanted for stealing a vehicle from a Tampa apartment complex and later selling the stolen vehicle.

Between December 8 to December 27, 2018, Juan Romero-Hernandez, a Colombian exchange student at the University of South Florida, discovered his gray Volkswagen was stolen from his apartment complex in Tampa while he was out of the country visiting his family in Colombia.

The stolen vehicle was sold three times, ultimately ending up in the possession of Carvana, an online used car retailer. After detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office tracked down the stolen vehicle, representatives with Carvana returned the stolen vehicle to the Romero-Hernandez free of charge on Tuesday, January 29. Video and pictures from the media event can be found on our Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Detectives were able to trace the vehicle theft to Charlotten, who previously lived at the same apartment complex as the victim. Charlotten is now wanted for Grand Theft Motor Vehicle, Uttering a Forged Instrument and Dealing in Stolen Property, in addition to a previous warrant for his arrest for a charge of Grand Theft($300-$5,000).
