A statue of Saint Francis of Assisi was stolen from the grounds of St. Paul's Catholic Church.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is working to track down the suspect(s) who stole a large statue from outside a Catholic church in the Carrollwood area. Around 4 p.m. on April 12
, a statue of Saint Francis of Assisi was removed from the grounds of St Paul's Catholic Church, located at 12708 N Dale Mabry Highway. The statue, which weighs approximately 200-300lbs, is 5 feet tall and made of resin. It is valued at $10,000.
The statue was last seen sitting on rocks on the right side of the church in the Sonto Nino Shrine Area.
