Hillsborough County

Tampa, FL

  • Red light runners are a danger to others as well as themselves. Aggressive, impatient or inattentive motorists who run a red light can be detected at certain intersections in unincorporated Hillsborough County.

The Red Light Enforcement Program, which is administered by Hillsborough County government (http://www.hillsboroughcounty.org/redforreason/), began to issue notices of violation on December 29, 2009. Hillsborough County sheriffs deputies review each photograph and corresponding data and determine if there was a violation of Florida State Statute 316.075 (1)(c)(1). A red light violation will cost the registered owner of the vehicle $158

Remember, its all about safety. Just stop for red lights. Its red for a reason.

Red light cameras are in operation at the following intersections:

    Fletcher Avenue & Bruce B. Downs Boulevard
    Sligh Avenue & Habana Avenue
Brandon Town Center & Brandon Boulevard
Bloomingdale Avenue & Bell Shoals Road
Waters Avenue & Dale Mabry Highway
    Waters Avenue and Anderson Road
