The Student Intern Program provides unpaid academic study-related work assignments that allows students to explore career options in addition to developing personal and professional skills. Working in any of the four districts or specialty areas, this assignment can prepare students for a career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
The program offers many advantages including career exploration early in a student's academic studies, exposure to new and emerging occupations, technologies, academic credit for work performed (if applicable), and work experience that may be considered relevant if the student later applied for a permanent position.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment during the upcoming semester or quarter as a diploma/certificate/degree seeking.
