Patrol District I is under the command of Major James Burton. The district provides law enforcement services for north/central Hillsborough County. District I prides itself as being a "community district," providing an open door policy to the citizens it serves. The district includes day patrol/night patrols commanders, Traffic Section, Street Crimes Units, Investigations and Community Services, and Intelligence-Led Policing Unit.
