The Patrol District IV office is under the command of Major Ronald Hartley.  The District IV office, located in Ruskin, was opened on December 13, 1999.  Before the creation of District IV, the east side of Hillsborough County was incorporated into a single district. The new district satisfied the need for more concentrated law enforcement services in a burgeoning county. District IV deputies patrol a diverse locale, from farms to subdivisions to retail complexes and industrial sites.
