    • Colonel Donna Lusczynski

      Donna Lusczynski joined the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in 1991. She began her career in law enforcement as a patrol deputy and advanced through the ranks. She has also served in street crimes, narcotics, vice, and internal affairs. Her supervisory roles included the areas of patrol and the detective division. Col. Lusczynski earned her stripes as sergeant and was assigned to the Juvenile Services Section of the Criminal Investigations Division. From there she transferred to the newly created Child Protective Investigations Division, where she was instrumental in the development of the division’s structure, recruiting and procedures. She was soon promoted to lieutenant. After a stint supervising child protective investigators, she then transferred to patrol and earned the rank of captain, utilizing her supervisory and latent investigative skills to serve the residents of Patrol District III.

      Col. Lusczynski has a bachelor of science degree in criminology from the University of Tampa, and she obtained her master’s degree in public administration from Troy State University. She is also a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy, Session 231.

      Col. Lusczynski has served on the board of directors for Northside Mental Health Center, and is currently on the board of directors of Phoenix House. She was born in New York City, grew up in Roxbury, New Jersey. She has been a resident of Hillsborough County since 1987.
