The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Civil Process Section carries out the Sheriff's statutory responsibility for the service of process and execution of writs. These judicial process documents originate from the courts, governmental agencies and private attorneys in Florida and throughout the United States.
The Civil Process Section also enforces levies and conducts Sheriff's sales to aid in the collection of money judgments.

Fees for service of process are fixed by F.S. 30.231 and are non-refundable.
For process of service the party requesting service of process must furnish to the sheriff the original process, a certified copy of the process or an electronic copy of the process, which was signed and certified by the clerk of the court and sufficient copies to be served on the parties receiving the service of process, along with any and all attachments that the serve to party must receive. The party requesting service of process shall provide the sheriff with the best known address(s) where the person may be served, the appropriate fee and a self addressed stamped envelope.
Method of payments accepted are, Attorney Law Firm checks, Money Orders or Certified checks payable to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Cash is accepted if documents are delivered in person to the Civil Process Section.

Out of State Process, Under Chapter (48.195 (3) F.S.
The service of process issued by a court of a state other the Florida will be made in accordance with Florida Statutes, Rules and Procedures. Additional fees are required for service of process.
