Following the arrest of Eric Chiaramonte for burglary by the Plant City Police Department on February 4, 2009, Detectives met with Plant City Police Department Detectives and found that the burglary pattern as well as comments Chiaramonte made during this arrest matched that of a rash of burglaries along Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. East and Highway 92 in Seffner, Dover and Plant City area of the county.  Detectives  interviewed Chiaramonte at the Orient Road Jail and he subsequently confessed to the following Business Burglaries :


Sunoco, 1665 Branch Forbes Road

Designer Jewelry & Rays Styling, 5212 U. S. Highway 92 West

Harold’s Feed Store, 12990 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Plant City Tractor Parts, 4288 U. S. Highway 92

Subway, 455 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Bld.

Hoagie Heaven, 920 U. S. Highway 92 East.


Chiaramonte was also charged with two auto burglaries and Grant Theft Auto from in front of Bullet Auto Service, 508 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. East. He was found to have pawned stolen law equipment following a storage shed burglary behind 5212 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.  All of the incidents occurred in January and February of 2009.  Chiaramonte stated that he as a crack cocaine problem and went on a burglary binge to support his habit.
