Deputy Nicholas Elliott took the suspect into custody and post-miranda, the suspect confessed to the scene.

He admitted to stealing the bicycle because he was tired of walking. A friend of his told him he was caught on video and it was in the news. The suspect threw the bicycle into a lake. The bike was recovered but was damaged beyond repair.
