On March 20, 2015 at approximately 12 pm, Tymiek James began arguing with several girls in the school cafeteria of Dowdell Middle Magnet School, 1208 Wishing Well Way in Tampa. During the argument, James took out a common pocket knife and inflicted a minor laceration to the thigh of a 13-year-old female classmate.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. James was arrested on campus with the pocket knife in his pants pocket and booked into the Hillsborough County Juvenile Assessment Center.
