Charge: Violation of Probation
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detectives have been investigating several residential burglaries that occurred in the Sun City Center area.
One incident occurred June 13, 2015 when an elderly victim returned home from a day out and discovered her residence had been burglarized with numerous jewelry items stolen.
On June 30, 2015, the suspect, Robert Swanson, DOB 5-29-71 responsible for the burglary on June 13 was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Dwelling, Grand Theft and False Information on a Pawn Broker Form. Swanson was released on probation on August 13, 2015.
Some time prior to June 30, 2015, a burglary occurred at 1511 New Bedford Drive in Sun City Center. The suspect entered the residence and stole golf clubs and tools valued at $3000.00. Detectives were able to obtain evidence which could identify a suspect. District IV Investigative Section took over the investigation and detectives were able to identify Robert Swanson as the suspect based on the evidence found at the scene.
Detectives arrested Swanson on October 23, 2015 for Violation of Probation.
