    Detectives Make an Arrest In A Homicide

    One suspect arrested and one suspect dead after apparent robbery attempt.

    Through investigation, detectives determined Xavier Delacruz accompanied Terrance Roach to 5713 Diordora Way in Tampa.  He fled the scene after Roach was shot.

    Previous News release 16:071:
    The following information is preliminary details of this incident and are subject to change as the investigation continues;

    On 02/19/2016 at approximately 8:45 pm, deputies responded to 5713 Diordora Way in reference to a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found Terrance Roach deceased inside an apartment. What is currently known at this time; an adult female who lives in the apartment was outside when she was confronted by Roach who was armed with a firearm. Roach forced the female back into to the apartment with the purpose of what is believed to be a robbery.

    Once inside the apartment, Roach was confronted by an adult male and a scuffle broke out between the two men. During the scuffle, Roach was shot at least once in the upper body and suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Roach died at the scene.

    Homicide detectives are continuing the investigation and at this time theybelieve this was not a random act. Detectives have identified a possible motive, however that information is not being released at this time nor is any other information.
