The following information has been extracted from the Criminal Arrest Affidavit;
"On June 26, 2016 at approximately 1:17 am, HCSO dispatch received a call from Kisra Kariema Wong 24, advising that her boyfriend, Jamil Alejandro Valladares had pulled her hair and ripped her robe during a domestic violence incident. She also advised that he probably was in possession of a handgun. HCSO Deputy O'Neill and Deputy Berrios arrived and began interviewing Wong within her apartment. Wong's mother arrived to assist her daughter, and while getting a bag from her vehicle observed Valladares at the front of the building. She re-entered the apartment, and the deputies were advised that Valladares was outside. The deputies exited the apartment and observed Valladares in front of his vehicle, a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer 4 door, which had just returned to this location. They approached Valladares and observed him begin backing up, and to become verbally aggressive. They observed Valladares quickly place his right hand into his shorts pocket, and pull out a handgun. They observed him raise the handgun up, and were in fear for their lives. They immediately drew their HCSO issued handguns and began firing at Valladares. Valladares was struck numerous times,and his vehicle sustained a broken rear window, numerous bullet holes and a flat tire. The firearm used by Valladares was recovered next to him, and was a Smith & Wesson, SW40VE .40 caliber. Two spent .40 caliber shell casings were located near the handgun."
