Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shoplifting incident that occurred on February 20, 2017 at 2:58 pm at the Best Buy in Citrus Park Mall. The unknown suspect entered the store with 2 Apple Macbook Pro laptops. A front door loss prevention associate placed ID stickers on both of the listed items. The suspect then asked to see two top line Apple Mac-book Pro laptops ($2,800) each, which a sales person retrieved and then placed both computers on the customer service counter. At this time, the suspect removed a security sticker from one of the laptops he entered the store with and placed it on one of the two Mac-books on the customer service counter without being noticed. The suspect exited the store and then returned to the service counter. At this time, the suspect indicated to the customer service associate, the bottom of the two Mac-book Pro's were his as indicated by the security ID sticker on it. The associate gave the suspect the laptop and he exited the store without being stopped or questioned.
