Deputies Located The Vehicle Involved
The driver struck the pedestrian in the crosswalk and fled.

March 14, 2017 - Hillsborough County detectives have found the vehicle a 2006 Blue Kia Optima. The vehicle was found at 13045 N. 15th Street in Tampa. The vehicle has damage which is consistent with the hit and run. The vehicle has been impounded as evidence. The owner of the vehicle is being cooperative and the investigation continues.

On March 11, 2017, Guillermina Ramirez was crossing Fletcher Avenue within the marked crosswalk. The female was struck by an unknown make or model vehicle which fled the scene westbound on Fletcher Avenue. The vehicle was described as dark or gray sedan or crossover and should have damage to the front, particularly in the area of the headlights. She is currently in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
