The victim followed the defendant in the stolen truck and trailer to the Marathon located at 2851 Thonotosassa Road and attempted to block the defendant from leaving.  The defendant exited the stolen vehicle and attempted to enter the vehicle the victim was in.  The victim reversed away from the defendant at which point the defendant produced a black semi-automatic handgun and fired three rounds at the victim while he was inside the vehicle.  The victim did not sustain any injuries but was in fear for his life.  The defendant re-entered the stolen truck with attached trailer and fled the scene.  A short distance from the original listed location, the trailer which is valued at fifteen hundred dollars ($1500.00 USD) disconnected from the stolen truck.  Just prior to the theft, the defendant abandoned a stolen vehicle from Orange County, FL on Interstate 4 which is less than a mile from the listed location.  A latent print recovered from the stolen vehicle from Orange County, FL was identified by the witness (HCSO Forensic Print Analyst). The victim positively identified the defendant in a photo lineup.  The defendant has been a convicted felon since 11/07/1994 and has not had his rights restored as of 4/25/2018 per the Office of Executive Clemency.  The defendant was positively identified via Orange County Sheriff's Office booking photo #17013049.
