Nearly 70 Recipients to be Honored at HCSO's 4th Quarter Awards Ceremony
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will be hosting the 4th Quarter Awards Ceremony on December 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Falkenburg Road Jail Assembly Room at 520 N Falkenburg Rd.
Sheriff Chad Chronister is pleased to honor retirees, employees with 20+ years of service, volunteers, good Samaritans and more. "These are people that go above and beyond the call of duty and live out the mission of HCSO, to serve, protect and defend this great community, every single day. I couldn't be more proud to recognize their hard work and good deeds," Sheriff Chronister said.
A few of the 68 awards' recipients:
- A deputy will be awarded two Life Saving Awards for rendering aid on separate occasions and helping save the lives of two victims.
- Three deputies will be recognized for their efforts to save a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
- Two citizens witnessed a vehicle crash into a pond and didn't hesitate to jump in and save two adults and an 8-day-old infant who were trapped inside.
- A citizen will be recognized for giving back to the community by providing free haircuts for the Kids Place Foster Home, the Boys & Girls Club and the Tampa Community Homeless Outreach.
