Charge: Driving Under the Influence with Property Damage

On July 5, 2018 at approximately 10:40 p.m., Tyler Conrad was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima at Dale Mabry Highway South and Mango Avenue West when he crashed into a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Deputy. Deputy Benjamin Burgher was leaving a call when he was struck by Conrad, who exhibited signs of impairment and had a strong odor of alcohol. Conrad refused to complete Field Sobriety Exercises and was transported to Central Breath Testing. Due to the indicators of impairment observed and totality of the circumstances, Conrad was arrested for DUI. The crash caused approximately $8,000.00 in damages and there were no injuries.
