A man upset over not being able to make a cash return at a Dollar General in Dover took his revenge by shooting at the store front on Monday
evening. At 4:01 p.m., an unidentified black male walked into a Dollar General Store in Dover, 14715 Dr. MLK Boulevard, demanding a refund for previously purchased merchandise.
The store employee at the register refused to give him a refund in cash, which caused the man to become belligerent. He was asked to leave the store and was followed outside by the employee, but before driving off, the man fired off two shots at the employee and the store front.
One bullet struck the aluminum overhanging above the store's automatic doors. The suspect sped off from the scene in a red Toyota Corolla. According to a witness, the man is described as being approximately 25-years-old, between 5' to 5'4.'' He has a full beard, short haircut and he was last seen wearing a tan bandana, white Nike t-shirt and gray baggy shorts.
