    Details:

On 05/18/2018 at approximately 7:30 pm, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Deputy Lance Feinman responded to 9024 Sienna Moss Lane reference to a domestic dispute. Deputy Feinman was allowed into the residence by a family member and immediately announced he was a deputy sheriff in a loud voice. Randy Howard came down from the upstairs floor of the residence and intentionally and unlawfully struck Deputy Feinman in the face numerous times with a closed fist. Howard then put his arm around Deputy Feinman's neck (choke hold) and applied pressure to the point Deputy Feinman felt he was going to lose consciousness.

Deputy Feinman fought back and utilized his training and his survival skills to defeat the choke hold and violent unprovoked attack. Deputy Feinman regained control and utilized his Taser with no effect on Howard. Additional deputies arrived and they were able to subdue Howard who continued to violently resist deputies.

Deputy Feinman sustained a broken nose, numerous contusions and complained of pain to his neck and face area. Deputy Feinman was treated and released from the hospital and is recuperating at home.

Randy Howard was booked into the Orient Road Jail without further incident.
